Mexico loses 2-1 to Holland in World Cup match

There was disbelief among my family members hours ago as Mexico lost to Holland in a knockout match that ended 2 to 1. Basically the Mexicans are now going back home to dear sweet Mejiko, or as Republican Teabaggers would say "securing the border."

There was a lot of "rabble-rabble" going on, finger pointing, Spanish cussing (more than usual) and the constant reverting to if "only I was the coach I would have done x, y, z" etc.

I'm not a futbol (soccer) fan. I am light years away from the hysteria precisely because of the aforementioned annoying behavior of soccer-heads including those in my family. And because of this I should come out and defend the Mexican team just for the sake of humanity, hey at least they tried. They tried their best and obviously the odds of actually winning the damn thing are always so great. Just leave them (and everybody else) alone and take a chill pill. It's just a game.

I know, I know, I know: "it's the World Cup Jose!" So what? This event happens every four years. It's not a one time thing.

I tried to enjoy the game by just looking at (some of) the players and imagining their hard bodies against mine, jerking them off and having them blow their load all over me as they scream "me vengo!"

Well... What can I say? I find pro-soccer (outside the US) to be boring and overrated (mostly overrated) so I have to keep myself entertained somehow. And is not because I am being smuggish. No way. If you want to see smug look no further than the super fans around me acting like a bunch of pompous ignoramuses thinking that they know more than the coach of the Mexican team.

I have nothing against soccer personally. Its a great workout, I know. And kids love it (as well as the adult aged kids). In fact I find some of the hot soccer players intriguing and interesting at a personal level. Maybe that's because I don't invest my whole masculinity based on their willingness to win soccer matches. As a gay man I am very much secured in my own masculinity.

I sort of laugh as well when I see my raza complain and whine that "FIFA is corrupt, the Mexican government is corrupt, the team is corrupt." And then of course, you cannot have the annoying whinny voice of emasculated Mexican men without speculating on unproven conspiracy theories that maybe the team was bribed to lose or that Mickey Mouse paid the ref to do his bidding. I wonder if the Dutch know that. Oh right, nevermind. They don't give a shit, they are out there celebrating this win.

And this is one of the many problems of mi raza. We are great at pointing things out, but are lousy at doing anything about it. So instead, mi querido paisanos, of going gaga for futbol and getting into meaningless rages over little petty issues of certain matches of the game, why not stop this senseless distraction and actually do something to invoke change in our social political world that we so despise (as they look down and kick the rocks near their feet).

Okay, fine. Have it your way.

Eh, at least we have the US... they are still in World Cup right?
